New duology novel about Cholpon

The national writer of Uzbekistan, a master writer Pirimqul Qodirov was aiming to write a historical novel about a freedom-loving author of Andijan in the final years of his life. But he had not time. May God rest his soul. Those days Nabi Jaloliddin made a visit to him. In the midst of the conversation the master told him that he had read his next novel – “Khayyam” and said his aim. “Nabijon, I was going to write about Cholpon. But I think I will not have time to do this. That is why you write about him. Your both soul and language is similar to his.”

In the history of Uzbek literature there were lots of attempts to write a novel about an audacious author of the Uzbek nation. True, there are many poems, plays about him. But they cannot describe the trouble full life of the author.

Nabi Jaloliddin finished his next duology novel – “Tegirmon” (“The Mill”) about Abdulhamid Cholpon, Uzbek poet and writer. “Tegirmon” is consisted of two books and 5 parts. This novel describes an uneasy life of Cholpon – who has fought for the independence and freedom of Uzbekistan. As well the novel speaks about more than 10 great historical persons who were with Cholpon. In his new novel Nabi Jaloliddin wrote the tragedies of 1920-1930th years clearly and in an impressible style.

Uzbek readers will be able to read “Tegirmon” duology in 2015 year.
